BATMAN. GOTHAM ADVENTURES #20#21#22 - DC COMICS (2000)
€ 5.00
Batman and Robin stop a pair of thieves stealing cereal in a truck. Apparently, it is called Eden's Own and is very popular recently. Later, a casually dressed young man visits the offices of Eden's Own, looking for a job. He is offered a position and meets the founder of the company, Poison Ivy. As Batman and Batgirl rescue children from a fire, she describes how the cereal is ultra-natural and healthy, but Batman is skeptical about Ivy's motives. At work, the man asks if the food has been tested, to which an employee answers that there is no need, since it comes straight from the earth itself. In the Batcave, Batman cannot find anything wrong with the cereal; while at a rally, Poison Ivy celebrates mother nature, which the audience loudly agrees with. At the office, a group of armed burglars corner the same man and take the cereal. However, the man deftly subdues them and reclaims his cereal. Afterwards, Batman approaches the man and demands his blood, saying that he's changed. Inside Poison Ivy's office, Batman confronts her, revealing that the cereal allows her to control people that have eaten it, which she would have used to exterminate the population, thus revitalizing Eden. Ivy's plants attack Batman, but he sucks all the carbon dioxide from the room, causing her to lose consciousness. Outside, Nightwing apologizes for losing his control while undercover, and laments the falsity of the cereal.
